I'm planning a week in Steamboat the end of June. Any tips/suggestions/honey holes for the Yampa and surrounding waters? We're hoping to explore beyond just the Yampa but I guess it all depends on conditions, etc. Steven Bowka said:I have lived an…

I have lived and guided in Gunnison, Crested Butte, Lake City, Vail and Frisco/Breck. I would consider my home waters to be the Gunnison and the Taylor, but I have guided the Colorado, Eagle, Yampa, and Blue just as much as either of my home waters.…

I live in Austin but we have a place in Divide, CO. We just fished the Dream Stream section of the South Platte this weekend and did wonderfully. The fish are starting to move up from Elevenmile, the flows are perfect and midges under an egg pattern…

They're the Harwoods, from the Dallas area (Plano, actually). Great friends and a great time whenever they're in town! Good luck w/ the clinic and Waterton. Our son and his family live a mile south of the entrance to the canyon. Thank goodness for this mild Winter!

Thanks for the quick reply!! When you get to the area, stop in at the Keller Williams Realty office in Woodland Park and say hi. I have close friends who also have properties in GMF which have been in their families for generations, also. Seems to be the way it goes there! I'll be in Deckers this weekend, then maybe to the Dream Stream. Here's to a successful Spring!

New Trout Season on the Guadalupe

We've waited a long time for the trout season in Texas to start. Well the wait is over, the temperatures have cooled, and the water temperature is down in the low 60's on the Guadalupe. GRTU has started their 2009-2010...
