Yep the Guad is fishing awesome! whether fishing for whites on the upper or trout on the lower...excellent! The flows are allowing us to fish more areas than we have in years and the hatches are excellent. March is my favorite time to fish the Guada…

The high flows have dramatically improved float fishing on the Guad. The river has been HOT! The bass fishing around the Hill Country has also been great as we get into the spawn. The San Marcos has been fishing lights out, so don't let those high f…

Yeah, I'm going to try and wait for a while. Looks like Gardo's and Rio maybe the only safe places. I'll white bass fish while I'm waiting for the flows to die down.

The Guadalupe is now over 800 csf, which I've never seen. The usual spots I like to fish such as River Bluff are simply torrents of water. Fished off the banks today Feb 25th at Gardo's. Nine hookups and landed five. Almost no one on the river on a…

Hey, buddy! Good to hear from you. It would be good to do some kind of TP outing up here in the great northwest. I fish some spectacular small lakes and streams. I've told Bruce that I may be down sometime soon. (I have a close friend over in Suga…

Hey Cress,

I fish from a kayak most of the time. I have a Native Ultimate that is an awesome fly fishing machine. I have never put it on the Blanco because only till recently has there been enough water to float. I think I am familiar with some of the areas up river from your place. I walked upstream a while back to a small dam and a little set of rapids. Past that I saw a nice, deep looking pool, but I backed out of there for fear of someone catching me there.
I am not YET a member of GRTU, but look to be soon. I work for Rio Raft Co. and was part of GRTU's trout stocking the other day. I think I recognized you on the bus but wasn't sure. I am looking forward to some amazing trout action this year!

Hey Cress:

I enjoyed meeting you and would love to fish again.

Bruce and I are talking about a TroutPad outing here in Oregon and we'd love to have you join us. I can guarantee you that you will be catching trophy rainbows until your arm gets tired!
