TroutPad | Premier Social Network for Fly Fishing

Wanta get some opinions of the best attractor flies to use on the Guadalupe. Really the attraractor flies of any river, I use many of the same attractor flies here, as I do on other rivers of the north....that allow two flies.
Attractor flies can sometimes make the fishing here, I've seen the days where i use a certain fly...say a zebra midge and it may produce somewhat, then tied certain attractors to that fly and WHAM, It's fish after fish!
I have a couple of favorites that i've found work really good here though.
1. Helgamite
2. Blood worm
(of course) 3. San Juan and 4. egg patern
5. Lady Bug....yep that's right LADY BUG!

Also the distance tied from an attractor, some like to go 8-10', where some may go up around 18", I have mixed feelings about the distance because i've seen it work both ways and i've seen fish go for the dropper and scare off from seeing the attractor.
